Passionate about archery

We're encouraging our students to 'Show off for summer', by submitting photos and a bit about themselves that we can publish on our website and Facebook page. Here's Northern region student Rachel Burge.

Student and archer Rachel Burge'My passion is Archery. I attended the 2012 Archery Nationals in Wellington in the school holidays for a week. It was amazing but I didn’t perform as well as I wanted [although] I still placed second in Target, first in Field and Clout. Won the Clout Cadets Women’s Trophy and JAMA Girls Champion of Champion.

'I am now training (in between school work again now) to try and qualify for a national competition between Australia and New Zealand but owing to the high standards and qualifying scores I don't think I will make it this year. Archery is an amazing sport and we need more people to start competing.'
