Their parents/caregivers are military or diplomatic personnel, or others employed by the New Zealand Government, whose duties take them overseas.

University staff

Their parents/caregivers are university staff or others on sabbatical leave.

Teachers recruited on organisation arrangements for service overseas

Their parents/caregivers are teachers recruited on intergovernmental or non-governmental organisation arrangements for service overseas.

Travelling and living overseas

Their parents/caregivers are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents (having resided in New Zealand for two years or more) travelling and living overseas who intend to return to New Zealand, and whose student will be continuing education or taking up employment in New Zealand.
