Early childhood eligibility - Reasons for enrolling

Which option below best describes your child's reason for enrolling? (Select the applicable category.)

Geographic isolation
Child is living 6km or more from a licensed and/or chartered early childhood education service
Inaccessibility
Child's access to another service is limited by distance or service availability to up to and including two sessions per week
Itinerancy/travelling within New Zealand
Family intends to change location at least once each term and each change would require a change of licensed and/or chartered early childhood service. The minimum enrolment period for this category is six months.
High Health Needs
Child has a long-term illness or medical condition that prevents their attending a licensed and/or chartered early childhood education service
Special development needs
Child with special development needs where there is no local service able to meet that child's early education needs
Special circumstances
Child who is unable to attend a licensed and/or chartered early childhood education service because of special circumstances, for example: a sibling with a medical condition preventing, for reason of cross-infection, the preschooler attending a service OR a parent/caregiver who has a medical condition which prevents driving OR geographic location that prevents a child's attendance at a licensed early childhood centre and/or chartered English language early childhood service
None of the above
