Special needs

The student has special needs for which your school is unable to provide appropriate specialist programming or curriculum adaption. Examples include:

  • Gifted
  • Remedial
  • At risk of exclusion/expulsion
  • Language for ethnic
  • Activity Centre
  • Teen parent
  • Psychological or psychosocial
  • Verified alternative education student.

Regional Health School

Student is unable to attend their local school due to health reasons. The Regional Health School sends in an application for the student's enrolment with us.

Te Reo: Transferring students

A senior primary student from a Kura Kaupapa Maori School/bilingual or total immersion class has moved to a school unable to provide Maori language tuition.

Technology

The student is in Year 7 or 8 at an isolated school with no access to technology tuition

Transferred student

The student has transferred to a secondary school where subjects previously taken are not available

Small senior classes

The student is in your school which has only a small number of students studying a subject at year 12 or 13 level

Subject not available

Schools with a roll of 600 or less may apply where a student/s cannot obtain tuition in subject(s) because they are not available at your school

Staff vacancy

Your school has an emergency staff vacancy due to there being no suitable applicants
