Need extra credits to get into university in 2012?

We’ve had lots of enquiries from students asking whether they can enrol with us to get the extra credits they need for university entrance this year. Here’s what you need to know:

If you were enrolled at a school in 2011 you should talk to staff at that school to see if they assist you.

Credits are the result of an assessment of learning that has taken place, so if you enrol with us you will have to complete the school work and then be assessed before you can gain credits.

Depending on the course you enrol in and how many credits you need, you may not be able to earn the required credits in time for a March university enrolment. However, you may be able to earn the credits in time for July intakes at universities.

You can speak to a subject teacher at Te Kura to ensure you know what you need and that you will be doing the right standards to get into university. Please note that most of our teachers are on holiday and will not be back until the school year starts on 1 February.

Call us on 0800 65 99 88 or email enrolment@tekura.school.nz if you have any questions.
